It all sounds so good, doesn't it? And, as always, the packaging is amayhhhhhzing! But that's about where my excitement at the collection stops. The products and colours are all a bit, well, meh.

Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent

Definitely the most interesting of all the collections. Violetta, a bright violet lipstick, the shadow duos and nail lacquers are standout products.

101 Dalmations' Cruella De Vil

More wearable than Maleficent's collection, a neutral palette of blacks, taupes and terrocottas with a flash of pink in the shape of a gloss.

The Princess and the Frog's Dr Facilier

The magically cool liquid powder caught my eye in this collection. Pigments, lipgelee, mascara, gresepaint stick and a compact mirror finish off this collection.

Snow White's Evil Queen

The stand out product in this collection has got to be Her Alter Image, a gorgeous violet eye shadow. Apart from that the collection boasts a beauty powder, blush, brow pencil, lipsticks and lipglass.

Don't know about you but I'm way more excited about the Wonder Woman collection!

Lace: an A/W Love Affair

Fashion’s ubiquitous staple, lace, has featured in our wardrobes for centuries. Running in Heels casts a nostalgic eye over lace’s sartorial impact and shows how to wear it for work, weekend and play this upcoming season.

From Marie Antoinette’s capes and Queen Victoria’s fans to the bras and tights of sixties Britain, lace has remained a fashion staple for centuries. The A\W ’10 catwalks confirmed that lace is here to stay. Designers from Erdem to Roberto Cavalli, Christopher Kane and Antonio Berardi fell in love with the romantic look as models donning opulent full-length dresses, sheer pussy-bow blouses and black bodysuits sashayed down the catwalks. Lace for the upcoming season is adaptable and as varied as the shows in which they were featured: pretty, girly, gothic, sexy, understated, opulent and minimalist are all covered as designers went through the A-Z of the fashion handbook.

Lace for work

As wearable as it is versatile, lace adds the perfect hint of pretty to an office get up. Lace shirts adorned with frills and epaulettes in navy and black were teamed with tapered and wide-legged trousers at Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Burberry Prorsum and Paul & Joe. The simplistic shape of the trousers of the season was perfectly juxtaposed by the pizzazz of a lace shirt. For the final few rays of sunshine before winter, tuck a nude lace shirt into a pair of tapered trousers or shorts and team with sky-scraper heels for the wow-factor at work. As the nights draw in, add darker colours, longer sleeves or buildable layers and team with textures such as leather, velvet and wool for an on-trend take on A/W. For a subtle nod towards the trend, lace-adorned shoes, as seen at Christopher Kane, can be dressed up for formal workwear, or down for a daytime look. Versatile and easy to wear, they’re the perfect sartorial selection for any outfit.

Never heard of her? You will soon. This up and coming designer, a graduate from the London College of Fashion, is creating quite a stir amongst the art and fashion world. ‘art you say?’ well, yes; these breathtaking pieces of high fashion can only be described as pieces of wearable art and the designer herself notes her approach to fashion as that of a sculptor. As a graduate of the University of Arts, London, Kim has a BA in fashion design and technology and an MA in digital photography under her stylish belt. To add to this impressive CV, she participated in the catwalk shows at Oxford and Wembley Fashion Week and the Berkeley Dress Show at the Hurlingham Club.

In her final MA project, Glamour in Death, she attempts to alter perceptions and prejudices on death with reference to South Korean funeral culture. Originating from questions of why death is interpreted as dark, cold and terrifying, her vivid collection uses bright colours and bold shapes and textures to celebrate life and the elements of one’s existence. The thought-provoking subject matter is offset by the intricate but bold conceptual statement of her collection.

The designer’s collection illustrates her passion for traditional handcraft techniques, which she credits as being ‘the ultimate challenge’ due to the level of knowledge and skill needed. Deeming it important to preserve heritage craft techniques and fabrics, she aims to use them alongside modern forms of craft such as laser cutting. She is inspired by the relationship between fabrics and the body and the ways in which clothes and accessories can alter and transform the silhouette of the body.

Kim attempts to change the negative consensus on death with bold colours and original silhouettes and a clashing of textures, print and tones. Crochet and knitwear exude feelings of warmth, comfort and softness counteracted by the static and motionlessness created by the models’ frozen stance and glassy stares. Clashes of fiery reds, purples and yellows are used alongside orange, blue and green to delight the senses and create a visual sense of joy and celebration.

Digital print high waist trousers are coupled with bra tops, organza headbands and latex gloves whilst laser-cut organza jackets offset knitted dresses and double-layered coats. Velvets are paired with leather, organza with fur and felt with knitwear. Details and focal points come in the form of laser cut flowers on gloves and shoes, organza ruffles and headdresses.

Her range of casual and luxury knit and felt pieces are equally as sumptuous: cosy felt perfectly forms cloak-like coats and jackets whilst rainbow coloured knits of red, yellows, blues and purples form cute dresses baring patterns of flowers and snowflakes. Details such as folds, cowl backs, bibs, oversized bows and scalloped edges make the collection exceptional, diverse and unique.

Wageless Internships: the Debate Rages On.

An interesting and completely relevant article popped up on my screen as I went to access my emails today. As a graduate trying my best to get my foot into the fashion door, gaining an internship at a fashion magazine is seemingly becoming more and more a pipe dream. I must have applied for over 100 by now, with all of one magazine bothering to reply (that was More! magazine, by the way. Unfortunately, the work experience they offered me was when I was on holiday. Gutted!) When (if I ever do!) I get an internship a further worry will be money. How is an intern who is working often up to six months with no pay in central London supposed to support themselves?

Employers are almost certainly breaking the law when they take on unpaid interns because they should be giving them wages if they work, according to a new report.

Think-tank the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and campaign group Internocracy said firms mistakenly believe they are allowed to take on unpaid interns as long as both sides know it was a voluntary position.

Unpaid internships are common in politics, media and the fashion industry, but many companies offer expenses-only positions which cannot be described as work experience, said the report.

Surveys have suggested that one in five employers pays no money at all to interns, while half offer at least the national minimum wage.

Kayte Lawton, research fellow at the IPPR, said: "Too many employers don't understand the law when it comes to hiring interns. There is a mistaken belief that employers can take on people on a voluntary basis if both sides agree - but that's not what the law says. If an intern is doing work for a company, then they need to be paid - it's as simple as that.

"In practice, this isn't what happens because employers don't understand the law and enforcement agencies are turning a blind eye. This is a real shame for all those hugely talented young people who can't rely on their parents to fund an unpaid internship. We should be doing much better for these young people."

Dominic Potter, director of Internocracy, said: "We now have entire industries that rely on the willingness of young people to work for free. In the long run this is bad for business because it damages the reputation of these industries and makes it difficult for them to recruit from the broadest pool of talent.

"It also means that young people from well-off backgrounds or with good family connections have an instant advantage when it comes to finding a permanent job."

Clothing and accessories step outside for the fall season as designers from Kenzo, DKNY and Oscar De la Renta sent models down the runway in hues of black, grey, brown and green reminiscent of an autumnal country setting. Recreate the look with heritage fabrics of wool, cosy knits, tweed and corduroy and adornments of fur (fake, of course), shearling and plaid.

The shoe of the moment, the heeled boot, was furry and shaggy at Chanel, laced-up at DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger and Kenzo whilst tough and durable were the buzzwords at Topshop Unique, Missoni and Ralph Lauren.

I'll be teaming a Next pair with an oversized cable-knit and tights.

A/W '10 Trend: Lace

Lace is back!

Well, it never really went away did it!?

The A\W catwalks confirmed that lace is here to stay for what seems like the millionth season in a row! Designers from Erdem to Roberto Cavalli, Christopher Kane and Antonio Berardi fell in love with the romantic look as models donning opulent full-length dresses, sheer pussy-bow blouses and black bodysuits sashayed down the catwalks. Lace for the upcoming season is adaptable and as varied as the shows in which they were featured: pretty, girly, gothic, sexy, understated, opulent and minimalist are all covered as designers went through the A-Z of the fashion handbook.

Lace shirts adorned with frills and epaulettes in navy and black were teamed with 7/8, peg-legged and wide-legged trousers at Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci, Burberry Prorsum and Paul & Joe whilst Christopher Kane teamed his with a high waisted skirt and lace-up heels. Phoebe Philo at Celine channelled the modern minimalism by teaming simplistic white lace shirts with skirts, conjuring images of a straight jacket (albeit a feminine and delicate straight jacket, with a hint of skin underneath.)

Valentino provided the wow-factor with the dramatic entrance of a full-length, full-sleeved, Morticia-esque number complete with butterfly on the right shoulder and layers of fabric creating lacy 3-d flowers. Full and flirty was also the name of the game at Erdem, where frills provided a focal point, and Roberto Cavalli where billowing layers of tulle were adorned with lace florals, trim and sequins for a boho feel.

Dolce and Gabbana revealed lace bodysuits (yes, they're here to stay!) under swingy, flirty dresses whilst the delicate layered lace skirts at Oscar De la Renta provided a sweet and feminine antidote to the austere looks seen elsewhere.

And the most covetable and soon to be copied look? The laser-cut floral skirt seen at Dianne von Furstenberg.

Balmain A/W '10

Christophe Decarnin literally blew my mind this season. Sure, he's recycling the statement shoulder trend but do you know what? I DON'T CARE!

As Prince echoed around the room, Balmain's models strutted down the catwalk in sumptuous and decadent brocade, velvet, lame, sequins, ribbons, fringing and an array of rainbow colours, tuning in to the dressing-up box trend of the season. I really loved the vintage-y feel of the looks, which conjured thoughts of antique (but pristine!) furniture and fabric.

A velvet brocade coat in a deep red and purple was offset by a gorgeous metallic sequinned scarf whilst stunning full-length gold lame and black sequin dresses, slashed to the thigh and midriff, confirmed the exaggerated shoulder trend for the fall season.

Sequins, sheers and animal print are the fabrics to look out for whilst a studded belt or metallic scarf is the perfect accessory to accompany the look.

Sheer pussy bow blouses poked out from underneath fur coats, animal print jackets and suits of black and gold brocade, providing an understated sexiness, whilst micro-mini dresses with shredded hems in metallic sequins, velvet and fringing were adorned with tasselled trim, buckles and laced-up detailing for a modern vibe. Even staple pieces such as a navy suit were given a sumptuous overhaul with metallic gold pinstripes shot through its fabric.

Military references were evident in Decarnin's work, from the brocade military jacket and red leather trousers to the chainmail-esque metallic dresses, studded belts and eyelet and ribbon combination which extended from dresses all the way down to shoes.

Balmain certainly moves away from the minimalism of previous seasons in a positive nod toward the future. As the economy begins on the long road to recovery, the new collection injects life and vibrancy into an otherwise pared down fashion industry and provides a respite to the miminalism seen at Chloe, Celine and Calvin Klein. And I, for one, love it.

H&M Launches Online Shop (finally!).

Our favourite cheap and cheerful H&M has FINALLY reached the 21st century and will be launching it's online shop at www.hm.com from the 9th of September. YAY!

Now I for one love H&M products but its website was nothing more than pointless and I very rarely visit the shops. Why? I'm not quite sure but there's just something that really puts me off. It could be the layout of the shop which often resembles a jumble sale with mountains of clothes squashed together randomly on rails or, more often than not, all over the floor, or it may be the decor of the place which really hasn't been helped by the recent refurbs. Or it could even be the staff there, who always look, sound and act like the world is about to end. But I need never step into one of their shops again as from the start of September homeware, fashion, accessories and beauty will all be available under one (online) roof.

Update on My Life and Current Goings-On!

Wow, I've been SO busy recently, from finishing my exams, going on a well-deserved break to Egypt, Gradball and moving back home. Here's a little update on what I've been up to...

Egypt was an amazing country to visit and Alex and I had a lovely holiday. The weather was boiling, the hotel was gorgeous and we got to see some amazing sights and experience some once in a lifetime things, from the Pyramids and Sphinx, The Nile, a Bedouin village and camel rides and snorkelling.

I got my hands on my very own Carrie-esque shoes that she picks up at a Souk in the second movie (though mine are better) as well as some other bits and bobs.

A word of warning for the girls though: whatever you do, do NOT buy the Primark red polka dot bikini which is in stores at the moment. Why? On a bad day I saw about five other women wearing it, one of whom was sunbathing about 2 metres from me and the other who was a rather rounded, middle-aged woman. Needless to say, I made a swift exit and changed. My fault for buying a bikini at Primark, I guess! Lesson learnt.

On an entirely different note, it was my Uni's (Birmingham Uni, woop!) Graduation Ball last week. The dress I wore was from edressit.com and I got my hair done by Pippa at Bad Apple in Birmingham. I channelled the Chanel and Cameron Diaz by wearing a necklace down my back. I liked it, though if I hadn't have been peeling so much on my back I would have been able to show it off more!

I've now moved back home until I find a job or an internship (eek - the real world is scary!) I love being able to see my friends and family and this weather is making me veryyy happy!

Christina Aguilera's 'Bionic'. Another slice of amazing music action for the Summer. After hearing her 'futuristic' songs on her 'Keeps Getting Better' album, I was more than a little dubious about her new release which promised a forward thinking and boundary-busting new sound. How wrong I was for doubting the mighty Aguilera. This album is amazing - her best work since Stripped.
Festivals! (or more accurately, festival fashion!) I'm off to Wakestock next week with the girls and I'm looking forward to the amazing line up (Plan B, Chase and Status, Kissy Sell Out, Tinie Tempah amongst manyyy others) and, of course, snooping on what everyone is wearing! In the celebrity world I can't wait to see Fearne Cotton, Pixie Lott, Kate Moss and Alexa Chung's festival style.
Getting surprises through the post. Arriving home from the gym I was welcomed by two ENTIRE surprises through the post from my Auntie and Uncle and my Granny. :)

Wow, the celebs attending the amFar ball at the Hotel du Cap last night outdid themselves!!!!

This is the most beautiful and enchanting ad campaign I've seen for a while; when I first saw it my initial reaction was just 'wow'. Anna de Rijk looks so stunning and plays the 'role' to perfection; there's just something about her. It helps that the dress they feature is absolutely breathtaking and the delicate rose garland sets it all off beautifully. Not forgetting the jewellery, of course. Doesn't this just seem like an image from a fairy tale???

So I went shopping yesterday and got my hands on some lovely pieces from the Topshop make- up collection and I thought I'd update you on what I think of the items that I bought.

Firstly, a Felt Pen Liner in Jet:

I've always wanted to try a pen liner like this but never actually got round to buying one. I always thought it'd be good for making feline flicks at the outer corner of the eye, but I think I'd stick to using this only to line the top lid. It's a little too dry to create a sleek flick and just ends up in a staggered and kind of messy line. On the plus side, it's easy to work with on the lid itself and creates good definition with a rich black colour. I think I'll just be sticking with my ever-faithful Collection 2000 liquid liner to create flicks.

I also bought two Crayons in Orb and Midnight:

Orb is a gorgeously angelic soft white-silver glitter crayon

whilst Midnight is a dark, gothic midnight-blue/black glitter colour:

I absolutely love these two. They go on really easily and are buildable for a more dramatic night time look . Orb is ideal for a daytime look and Midnight is AMAZING for creating a smoky eye with a twist. The best bit about these two is that they STAY PUT and, unlike loose pigment or shadow, don't lose glitter down the rest of your face.

Next up is a Crayon in Sun Shower:

This is a gorgeous gold/bronze soft creamy crayon liner which is good for creating a crease-less look on the upper lids. I also find this amazing for lining the inside corner of the eye for a pop of colour or the lower lash line. The colour is really vibrant and stays put for hours.

And, finally, a Highlighter in Sun beam:

I think this is possibly my favourite thing that I bought. I keep telling people it looks like a moon in the pot!! I love it!! The colour is lovely and the gold tones in the colour adds an extra dimension to the sheen which is missing from other highlighters that I've tried. Use it anywhere for a lighter, Summery alternative version to blusher.

Topshop Make-up

So Topshop launched their make up range last week and it looks pretty promising for a first launch, if a little expensive. The eye make up range consists of plenty of shadow duos, mascaras, eyeliner crayons, kohls and pens and pigment glitter in an impressive range of colours; Lips consists of lipsticks, liners, gloss, balms and 'polish' (v. intriguing); Skin products in the range are concealers, tinted moisturisers and a nice range of blushers and highlighters, and they also have a good range of nail varnishes. From what I've heard of others' reviews, the colours are nicely pigmented and the range of colours is quite diverse to suit all skin tones. Also, the packaging is really, really cute which makes me want it all even more! I'm going to head into town soon to get some so I'll let you all know how it holds up when it's actually on.

Wow, I realise I haven't written anything for AGESSSS. Being a third year with finals has turned me into a recluse! But today I finished my whole degree and I'm so glad I actually have time to myself to read the pile of magazines I bought over the past year but was too busy to read, to go on holiday, to go shopping, to spend hours on the Topshop website, to GO OUT!! and to actually be able to update my blog regularly. Thank you for bearing with me and I'm going to make up for my lack of activity with whole backlog of articles I've been meaning to write for ages. I'm well and truly back!! :D

I'm sooo excited about MAC's brand new mineralize blushes from the Too Fabulous collection which come in a gorgeous range of colours which look good enough to eat! :

I invested in Two Virtues which is a beautiful blend of pink and lilac. It looks a little scary in the pot but looks so lovely on the skin that I just had to rave about it. I must admit that I bought this solely because of the gorgeous swirly pattern (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging!) but I'm so glad I did. It's a colour I've never come across before and it just makes tanned skin pop which is why I'll definitely be re-investing once this one has run out.

Taking over from the brogue and the statement heel, the clog was seen all over the catwalks, from Chanel to Louis Vuitton to Miu Miu and has been a firm favourite of the most individual and creative of the fash pack such as Alexa Chung and the Olsen Twins. I went to see Alice in Wonderland (in 3D, obv) tonight and OMG it was preeeeeetty amazing; the visuals and costumes (and Johnny Depp) were brilliant. Along with me and apparently the rest of the world, the fashion world has gone crazy for the Lewis Carroll tale, with all sorts from printed tops to make up palettes and tea cup rings (so cute!) available on the high street. Oscars 2010 Red Carpet Gowns

Wow, what a night the 82nd Academy Awards last night were with The Hurt Locker sweeping an amazing SIX Oscars, including Best Picture whilst Avatar and Disney's Up took home 3 and 2 respectively. Sandra Bullock picked up Best Actress for The Blind Side only days after receiving a razzie for Worst Actress, and Christoph Waltz scooped the award for Best Actor in Inglorious Basterds.

Of course, what we all really wanted to know was who wore what, so here is my pick of the most beautiful gowns seen on the red carpet last night.

With a nod to the nude trend and in possibly my favourite dress of the night, Miley Cyrus shines in a Jenny Packham bodice dress with tulle, crystal-studded skirt

Demi Moore also went for the blush tones with this Versace Atelier number which she vamped hers up with beautiful drapes.

Another going for the safe colours was Diane Kruger. Always achingly on-trend, she looked lovely in this unusual but gorgeously-shaped monochrome Chanel couture gown.

Another of my favourites, Cameron Diaz looked nothing short of stunning in this old-school Hollywood glamour-inspired Oscar de la Renta gown.

Rachel McAdams and Maggie Gyllenhaal stood out from the crowds in their watercolour-inspired printed dresses, Elie Saab and Dries Van Noten.

SJP also went for a beautiful coloured creation is this delicate lemon Chanel couture gown with blue ruffles.

Vera Farmiga ensured she turned heads with this eye-catching pop of pink. Ruffles were aplenty again in this Marchesa beauty.

Also opting for Marchesa, Sandra Bullock picked up her gong in a shimmering, figure-hugging champagne number

Hilary Swank made a bold statement, daring to bear in this plunge-front Gorgio Armani Prive gown complete with Swarovski crystals.

The fashion world was rocked today with the announcement of the untimely death of Alexander McQueen, days before the start of London Fashion Week.

The British designer, 40, was found hanged in his home in London only weeks before he was due to unveil his new collection on March 9th at Paris fashion week.

One thing is for certain, the fashion world will be a much less colourful place without his talent, flair and originality.

I am majorly coveting the gold sating chunky mary janes. Cute, feminine and easy to wear, I have a feeling this will be an iconic print in years to come. Look out for affordable high street copies for a quirky addition to any wardrobe.

Supers strip off for LOVE covers

Cult fashion mag LOVE is releasing a collection of amazing collector covers of their forthcoming issue featuring 8 of the most beatiful and of the moment models: Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, Amber Valletta, Jeneil Williams, Kristen McNemany and Daria Werbowy. Wow!!

The covers show the ladies striking identical poses with strategically placed strips the only thing covering their modesty! LOVE editor Katie Brand describes the issue, which feature's the girls measurements, as an attempt to show the hugely diverse forms that beauty takes. She notes that by showing women with such 'different' looks and sizes (!), the magazine attempts to show that 'perfection' is neither fixed or transcendent.

The shots are undoubtedly stunning but am I the only one who thinks the 'trying to show a variation of women' theory kind of fell flat? They all look exactly the same in these shots! Their bodies are anything but varying. I can't help but feel that this issues of LOVE carries an (unintended) irony: Let's show women that beauty is subjective and varying by using 8 extremely similar looking women! Hardly promoting 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' is it?

Despite this, thanks to these covers, my girl crush on Lara Stone and Natalia Vodianova is intensifying by the second!

MAC's myth: the perfect nude lipstick

I love a nude lip. When done right it can look so sexy and it's a wearable colour for day and night. When done wrong, however, you end up with the dreaded 'concealer' lips look. Really not sexy. I've always been wary of buying a nude lippie for that reason, but I was chuffed when I came across MAC's 'myth' in a satin finish, which is just the perfect nude colour for me. Having attempted to get GOSH's darling (134) and failing, I tried my fail-safe MAC and found this beauty. It's just enough pink and just enough beigey-brown and i love it. This actually makes being minus fake tan...(shock!) bearable. I know, I know, crazy, huh?

Mini trend: socks with shoes

I've been whipping my knee-high socks out for quite a while now (until this freezing weather decided to stay for an extended holiday) and the socks-on-show look is going to really take off for S/S '10 (I'm staking my originality claim now before EVERYONE starts wearing them!)

It all started with the catwalks' favourite sportswear lover, Alexander Wang, who championed the look, showcasing his grey ribbed K.H socks teamed with leopard-print ponyskin peep toes and cut-out black socks with fierce peep toe shoe boots. Others followed suit with cute-as-anything ankle socks teamed with killer-and not so killer-heels. At Betty Jackson, fluro green socks were teamed with yellow wedges for a pop of colour; forward thinking John Galliano's severe heels of the moment were given a cute twist with ankle socks in rainbow brights complete with frilled top, primary school style; and at Louise Galvin, socks were kept muted in reference to the nude palette of the season.

The rule? keep it playful, fun and girly.

I got my hands on my new Elle Collections today - woop!! It's amazing as ever, yet it's changed so much from past seasons. The shift is quite dramatic - to a more conceptual, creative and original feel. I'm also really happy they've included more street style. Another cute addition is the little dictionary definitions of catwalk-related words. LOOOOOOVE!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

They've included a lot more articles, though, which I'm not such a fan of. I think Elle Collections is about the images - the excitement, buzz and glamour of the catwalks. This kind of vibe can't be transpired through words.

It's selling out fast so get your hands on yours asap!

Top 10 products I cannot live without

In no particular order, this is a list of the top 10 products and cosmetics that I cannot live without. These are the make-up, haircare and skincare products that I would most definitely re-purchase and would probably cry if they were discontinued. Most of these things are available in the UK and if they're not, you can get them on ebay.

2-in-1 Visibly clear by Neutrogena. My must-buy skincare product is this cleanser from Neutrogena. I have tried pretty much every wash off cleanser that you can think of, from clinique to vichy to clean & clear, yet this is the one that works for me. I heard about this through various recommendations, in particular from Lollipop26, and thought I'd give it a go and I definitely will not go back to another product! It smells amazing, cleanses brilliantly and doubles up as a weekly face mask. I can't recommend this enough. This is especially good if you have problem skin as it's gentle but effective

Clean & clear oil-free Dual action moisturiser. The best moisturiser for controlling oily skin, preventing spots but still keeps skin soft and moisturised. Keeps my make up put all day and makes skin feel baby-soft immediately after applying. This is the moisturiser I always come back to, and I'm yet to find anything better.

M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid. It took me many (many!) foundations to find my perfect one and this is it. Coverage is medium to buildable and is absolutely amazing. It completely transforms my skin, evening out skintone and hiding any blemishes. I very rarely wear concealer as this provides enough coverage for me, personally. Some people find it too heavy, but I find it the ideal consistency. It also makes an excellent base for bronzer/blusher.

Tweezerman Eyelash curlers. The best I have ever tried. I have five! I seem to always forget to take them home/ back to Uni with me and always end up running to the shops to buy another pair, going to a toilet somewhere and curling my eyelashes before stepping out and feeling happy again!! That is how addicted to them I am!

Clynol Look at me Delicious Boosting hairspray. Last absolutely ages. Comes in an AMAZING huge pink can and smells gorgeous. The only hairspray that holds my thick, backcombed hair in place all night. Beware of using too much, though - it's a bitch to get out (think washing + shampoo rather than brush-able out).

Collection 2000 Shimmer + Shade in 'Pink Me Up' & 'Just Peachy'. I use these as blushers and often use them under my Bourjois blusher (see below). They give a gorgeous colour with just enough shimmer in to lift the face and add a subtle colour. These are the affordable versions of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks. 'Just Peachy' makes a gorgeous highlighter on it's own, too, and 'Pink Me Up' is the perfect accompaniment to a bronzer in the Summer.

Bourjois Little Round blusher in Rose D'or. The absolute perfect true pink blush. A little goes a long, long way and this has lasted me forever. Smells of gorgeous roses, too! The mirror and little brush are also handy for touch-ups on the go. Looks amazing with a little bronzer.

Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara. Unfortunately this was discontinued in the UK a few years ago now and, whilst I tried many others (including Diorshow), I have to admit that this mascara, for me, is unbeatable. Similar to Studio Fix, this product just works for me, whereas no one else seems to even remember it! I buy this in bulk from ebay and REALLY hope they don't discontinue it in America as well! It smudges onto the skin immediately after applying, but after wiping that away, it stays on all day. Makes lashes look longer, curlier and darker.

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke liquid eyeliner. Another wonder-product that seems to have slipped under the radar. This is perfect for creating my staple thick eyeliner flicks. The colour is a gorgeous true black and is the most long-lasting product I've ever come across. It literally stays put ALL day and ALL night.

Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in Strut. A gorgeous silvery-charcoal-black with an amazing consistency which literally doesn't budge all night. Perfect for a smoky eye and really easy to work with. Gorgeous packaging too. The best eyeshadow I've tried in a long while.

So there we go, my top 10 recommendations :)

St Tropez's new miracle potion

I LOVE fake tan. In fact, I think it could be classed as an obsession. I'd go as far as to say I value it above most things (I stop short of friends and family but money, social life, degree, you can all go...) I am a tan-orexic. And whilst I have flitted from St Tropez to Fake Bake to Xen Tan and back again, one thing lets me down every time and that's the hours spent exfoliating the damn stuff off in the shower after the colour has turned scaley and patchy (sexy!).

I hate that day. I dread it. Having admitted defeat to my trusty fake tan and realised it has to come off, I trudge off to the shower, preparing myself for the long haul. Two hours of scrubbing, sloughing and general self-inflicted pain later, I re appear red, blotchy and shrivelled like a prune, by which point my poor housemates have probably called out a search party (which is possibly why Sarah, my housemate, introduced me to this miracle stuff in the first place!).

So I, for one, was over the moon when St Tropez announced their new, aptly-named, Tan Detox, a luxurious bath oil which recreates a salon feeling at home. Tan Detox promises to remove self-tan build up and return skin to its natural tone by gently massaging the skin with a buffing cloth. I'm SO excited to try this out, though, living in student housing, I'm minus a bath so will have to wait until I go back home to test if this really works.

Could this be the end of hours of irritating exfoliating? Fingers (& toes) crossed!

Curve: ASOS' new plus-size range

Everyone's favourite online shopping Mecca, ASOS has launched its brand new plus-size range, catering for sizes 20-26. The brand, who's mainline range goes up to a size 18, launched the line of basics and trend-inspired items this week under the caption of a "trend-led collection for sizes 20-26 featuring all the key fashion pieces you will need for the season." The range includes leather jackets, slouchy tees and skinny jeans as well as tailored workwear and catwalk-inspired florals, military-style Macs and sharp-shouldered dresses.

I've had a look at the range and I have to say I'm actually pleased with it. Although the range is limited at 40 items, and still slightly lacking in colour and originality, I'm happy that ASOS have gone a step further than many high-street plus size ranges by not simply recreating mainline looks which are often hard for any non-amazonian, non-supermodel to wear, which often ends in major fashion disasters (plus-size jeggins, anyone?) They have taken a trend and tailored it to fit the body of a size 20 plus; the cuts and patterns are flattering without compromising on the young, fun vibe of the mainstream range.

Michelle and Mischa both sported this cute little Topshop number on nights out this week. Mischa is normally ahead of the game in the fashion stakes and, while she makes the playsuit look girly and demure, her outfit is a little bland. Knee high socks with heels or ankle socks with brogues would have added a little more sass to the look. A statement piece of jewellery or accessory would have made the look a little edgier too.

Top marks to Michelle for her lace-up shoe boots, slouchy bag and pillarbox red lips (and for braving the cold in bare legs!!! Go, girl!!)

Gorgeous Golden Globe Gowns

Last night's golden globes kicked off the awards season and you know what that means, right? Loads more beautiful dresses, shoes, bags, jewellery, hairstyles etc. to spend hours lusting after! yay! And last night's celebs certainly did not disappoint on the style front; with gorgeous maxi lengths still the hot favourite, the stars went all out to impress.

The looks gave us a sneak preview of the styles to come and showcased what was hot in Hollywood for the forthcoming award ceremonies. These mini-trends highlight what they will be wearing at the oscars, the Grammys, the Emmys etc etc and subsequently what we will be wearing for the forthcoming season. The number of Youtube beauty blogs has sky rocketed in recent months and I for one absolutely love them. The power of the vlog has grown immensely as more and more users switch on to the harnessing powers of YouTube, and our very own Brit ladies are causing a stir. Take for example the original YouTube beauty queen, Lauren Luke, who's beauty and make-up tutorials proved so popular that she now has her own cosmetics line in America.

While many beauty bloggers are a little amateur-ish and forgettable, one lady in particular stands out for me: Lollipop26, aka Laura (I have literally stayed up until the early hours watching back to back clips of her beauty hauls and make up suggestions) I find her blogs informative, fun to watch and have taken up A LOT of her suggestions (!). I also feel I have a kindred spirit in her as she seems as obsessed with MAC as I am!

Sarah Jessica Parker confirms Halston Deal

This is the most exciting fashion news so far this year and will definitely be one of the most anticipated collaborations of recent years: SJP will be joining Halston Heritage in an as-yet-undisclosed role. Women's Wear Daily broke the news this week that Parker is on board as the brand attempts to revive the image it held in its disco-era hey day. If rumours are to be believed, she will not be involved in Marios Schwab's forthcoming line for the brand, but is expected to take on an active role in Halston's contemporary, more accessible fusion line, perhaps even as a designer or creative director.

The news comes after photos were leaked from the set of SATC2 of the gorgeous foursome wearing the fusion line, including cute white and electric blue summer dresses.

An official announcement is expected within the week.

If recent rumours are to be believed, Gossip Girl's most original stylista, Taylor Momsen, could be the new face fronting New Look ad campaigns! Whilst spokespeople at the high street chain are keeping their cards close to their chest, the rumour mill is going into overdrive within fashion circles.

I think this would be absolutely amazing! I'd love to see how her punky, grunge look would fit in with the New Look persona and I think her edgy quirkiness could really bring something different and unique to the brand. Let's hope the rumours aren't just Chinese whispers!

Peaches Geldof for Miss Ultimo promotes 'real' bodies

I'm the first to slate Peaches Geldof at any given opportunity for being a pretentious wannabe but I am actually really pleased to see her as the face of Ultimo's Miss Ultimo range (I know she has been for a while now...I'm just late in jumping on the bandwagon!). Yesterday she showcased the Christmas collection and I think she looks absolutely amazing (who knew such a gorgeous figure was hiding under all the tattoos and attitude!?)

She has been criticised for her copious amounts of tattoos but I just think they add to the fun, young vibe of the Miss Ultimo ethos. I think it's brilliant to see a curvy girl like Peaches modelling an underwear range aimed at young women; whilst I'd definitely still argue that she is far from representing 'real women', it's a nudge in the right direction for promoting healthy body image. As the lady herself says: "I'd rather young girls were looking at a normal body like mine rather than an anorexic model". The fact that straight-up-and-down, thinner than thin women such as Cheryl Cole and Kate "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" Moss are being considered 'role models' scares me and I see Peaches as a breath of fresh air. Gorgeous women like Lilly Allen, Kimberley Walsh and Kelly Brook should be the ones being considered role models by young women for their healthy bodies.

Miss Ultimo's Christmas Collection is inspired by vintage designs, carnivals and candy shops. The shoot was even held in a retro carnival! The flirty and cute look is completed with oversized bows, gloves, frills and knee high socks.

Paris is the heart of romance, chic and quaintness and is a fashion giant like no other. While London is kooky and conceptual, New York modern and vibrant, Paris will forever remain the queen of classic and beautiful style. It is, after all, capital city of the country which brought us Audrey Tautou who herself is Paris personified. Paris spawned the creme de la creme of couture: Chanel, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, and this week, Alber Elbaz, creative director of Lanvin, was honoured for his impact on the city with the Grande Medaille de Vermeil de la ville de Paris, awarded to him by the Parisian mayor. When asked what he liked most about the beautiful city, he replied: "It's a dream city and a city of dreamers."

EMA red carpet rundown

Last night's EMA's saw Beyonce pick up 3 awards (and dedicate one to Jay-Z, saying "There's only one person I want to thank and thats Jay for putting a ring on it." awww), U2 and Greenday perform and Leona Lewis go home empty handed, but who really cares?! We just want to pore over the dresses!! Here is my pick of the best (and worst!)

Host Katy Perry, who's currently dating our very own Russel Brand, made no less than twelve outfit changes, going from magician meets alice in wonderland-inspired basque to a Georges Chakra midnight blue sequin couture gown to one of my favourite S/S 10 pieces, courtesy of Marchesa.

Beyonce also caused a fashion stir rocking a David Koma number similar to the controversial one worn by Cheryl Cole on last week's X-Factor. Designed with the lady herself in mind, the structured, futuristic dress cut a strong silhouette with off the shoulder, power sleeves and plenty of tough metal embellishment. I feel Beyonce pulled off the style better than Cheryl as the look definitely requires curves and a certain diva attitude - both of which the x factor judge lacks. B then went on to stun the crowds with an amazing rendition of Sweet Dreams in a sexy red slashed corset, satin gloves and stockings and suspenders.

Despite looking fierce in of-the-moment OTK boots that made her legs look about 3 metres long, Joss Stone's fashion credentials were severely knocked thanks to the pretty hideous hooker-style dress she insisted on wearing.

How gorgeous does Drew Barrymore look in this amazing shade of purple?

I always think of Drew's style as slightly...dare i say it...forgettable but I think this colour perfectly suits her skin and hair tone and makes a nice change from the neutral tones of black, nudes and pastels she normally opts for on the red carpet. The pop of red lippie and vintage-looking brooch make the dress (previously worn by Katherine Jenkins and Victoria Beckham herself) personal and very A/W appropriate. Not too sure about the length of the dress, though, and Drew definitely could have experimented more with accessories, but still, a big thumbs up from me!

Aussie pampering day

Take a look at these photos from my amazing Aussie pampering day at Bad Apple hair salon in Birmingham.

Thanks to the lovely Stef over at Stefanie Grace I was nominated, along with two friends, to receive an amazing hair makeover courtesy of those gorgeous ladies at Aussie. We were greeted with glasses of champagne (massively appreciated!) which were never left empty thanks to plenty of refills. There was also plenty of yummy nibbles (the cakes went down well with me and my housemates Sarah and Katie!) - we were definitely looked after!! We then got the opportunity to mingle with fellow bloggers and the Aussie girls who made us feel really welcome. We were then treated to a wash and relaxing head massage with Aussie products (they smell AMAZING!) and then had our hair styled by Bad Apple's top stylists. Me and Sarah went for big, voluminous and glamorous curls, while Katie opted for a contemporary, edgy look with her bob.

We had such a lovely, girly evening so a MASSIVE thank you to all at Aussie and Bad Apple salon for making our night :)

Alexa v. Leighton: Who wore it best?

Leighton Meester and Alexa Chung suffered an A-List wardrobe disaster as both turned up at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show on Wednesday in the same polkadot dress. Embarrassing!

While Alexa toughened up her look with on-trend ankle boots, leather jacket and slouchy tan Mulberry, Leighton sweetened the dress with a lovely grey cardigan, tan belt and grey ankle boots.

I must admit that I am a slave for Alexa's style but her look yesterday was a bit, well...predictable. Leather jacket, Alexa bag, tough rock-chic look...it's what she does best. But I love how Leighton has put together the colours and textures in her outfit to create a very feminine and romantic look.

Filming for SATC 2 is well underway (yay!!!) and despite a whole, agonising 6 months and 11 days until it's release date next year (yes, I AM counting down the days), I am already ridiculously excited to see what fashion treats Carrie and co have for us this time around. Judging by the photos I've seen so far, it's looking to be just as fabulous as the first film. And who could forget the amazing outfits in the first film? Iconic fashion included THAT vintage white and gold corsage dress, the infamous Eiffel Tower bag and, of course, the wedding dresses. Whilst many would never dare to step out in Carrie’s attention grabbing ensembles, it’s incontestable that her style has inspired many an outfit choice amongst her faithful: over the knee socks, feminine shirts worn with a waistcoat and tie and THOSE Dior Extreme Gladiator shoes.

Get ahead of the fash pack with these tip-offs on looks set to be huge from March 28th onwards: A little white dress accessorised with chunky statement gold jewellery, sequinned shoes and quilted box bag; a gorgeous vintage-look blue dress with gold thread from Halston Heritage; and a cute cowgirl-style check crop top. Look out for the pretty amazing Dior Newspaper print dress too. Carrie even goes gothic-punk on us in a basque dress complete with layered mesh underlay, studded belt, check waistcoat and cut-off lace cuffs.

The new film is said to have toned down the extravagant, designer clothing loved by the girls in a nod to the current economic climate and so, while the designer looks the gang are famed for will most certainly still be a talking point in the second film, a shift sees that more vintage pieces are included. Halston Heritage will become a Mecca once the film is released, with a collection of dresses starting from £200, including a lovely coral silk mini kaftan (£225) and a purple swing dress (£350).

Marchesa's amazing red carpet gowns

Georgina Chapman can do no wrong in my eyes and her S/S 10 Marchesa at NYFW collection simply confirmed this. While us mere mortals can only dream of wearing, let alone owning, one of her stunning gowns, it can be guaranteed that Marchesa fans Blake Lively, Becki Newton and Emmy Rossum will be rocking the looks on the red carpet, where these gowns were made to be worn.

Chapman transports us to a fantasy world of "madame butterfly", inspired by nature, romance and sensuality as models walked in beautiful tulle corset gowns adorned with intricately detailled flowers, Japanese-inspired silk dresses and embroidered jacket complete with oversized obi-belt and a stunning, showstopping monochrome dress with laser cut flower detail. Mermaid-esque gowns with flesh-baring tulle were adorned with embroidered florals which clung so beautifully to the figure so as to appear to be a part of the body. Colours were kept simple overall: black, ivory, nude, powder blue and purple with flashes of fuschia a shocking contrast to the otherwise muted colour scheme.

A fantasy they may be but still, a girl can dream...

Heels at work: from a shorter-than-average perspective

The TUC (the mainly male TUC, I might add) yesterday made a firm stance against heels at work, supporting a motion which would call for employers to carry out risk assessment on women wearing heels to work. Deeming them a health and safety hazard, union bosses demanded women wear 'sensible' shoes and branded high heels appropriate only for the 'Hollywood catwalk'.

I must admit I laughed when I read this. Do delegates have nothing better to do than lecture women on appropriate work attire? Has a century of women's lib fallen so short as to render women incapable of deciding their footwear choice for themselves without the help of middle-aged-hardly-fashion-or-shoe-conscious-men?

Perhaps being 5ft 2, style-aware and a Louboutin lover through-and-through slightly sways my judgement, but heels give women confidence and a sense of power. Looking into the future at my hypothetical career-woman self in a male dominated office, due to my severe lack in the height department, I know that without heels I would find myself staring significantly further south than any of us would feel comfortable with. Alas, to the TUC I say thanks for the concern but the only time I will be taking off MY heels is at 3 A.M in Gatecrasher after a particularly long night of dancing...

I heart Rodarte. With each new catwalk collection, the conceptual forward-thinking of Kate and Laura Mulleavy captures and I come more and more to appreciate the artistic ventures the two embark upon with each new season. The looks confuse and tantalise yet there's something innately beautiful within each.

Take their S/S 10 collection as a perfect example: "the story of a girl who turned into a vulture", death valley, california condor. The looks are mismatched, thrown together, gritty...yet messy they are not. Carefully thought out hints of lace, sequins, swarovski and tie dye peek out behind swathes of draped cheesecloth, plaid and cobwebbed wool, only visible having been sought out by an eager eye. Feathers, weaved crochet and leather strips snake around arms and torso like an armour and rope macrame hanging from ripped and frayed hems hint at a dark, gothic undercurrent. Add to this the tribal tattoos painted on models and the mud-caked hair and the look becomes pretty eerie and chilling.

Ikram Goldberg, chicago retailer with the enviable task of dressing Michelle Obama, sums up perfectly: "I'm rejuvinated. It will probably be the most beautiful thing I see the entire season...I'm overwhelmed..."

Tuesday's Top Three High-street picks

It's Tuesday. Tuesday is a boring day. The weekend seems years away and the weather is crap so what better way to brighten up the day than with a selection of gorgeous picks from our very own amazing British high-street?

Dorothy Perkins purple suedette shoe boots £42

Shoe boots are huge for A/W and these are definitely my current favourites. In on-trend plum, grey and black with gorgeous ruching, bow and peep-toe detail, these will last you right through to Summer.

French Connection Lust Dress £160

This stunning French Connection dress nails the futuristic trend for A/W as seen at Balmain, and is the perfect dress to see you through the party season. It's a dead ringer for the gorgeous Twenty8Twelve Viviane green swarovski dress worn by Sienna Miller at this year's MTV movie awards. Wear with minimal accessories and FIERCE shoes!

Topshop gold sequin beret £16

I've fallen madly in love with this vintage, 30's-inspired sequin beret, perfect for brightening up A/W's greys, nudes and blacks. Despite seriously lacking funds (less than a fortnight till student loans-YESSS!), I've already bought mine AND shelled out an extra £4 for delivery as I can seem to find it in ANY of the stores. THAT is how much i love it!

Herve Leger by Max Azria: stunning new dress alert!

I am IN LOVE with this dress from Herve Leger by Max Azria's S/S 10 collection. The embroidered waist section, the sheer shoulder straps and the delicate skirt. GORGEOUS!

For the forthcoming season Azria kept colours muted as golds, taupe, blues, nudes and black dominated, and silhouettes were his trademark figure-hugging. An eye for detail was shown as dresses, tops and swimsuits were adorned with slashes, sheer, ruching and tie dye. His S/S '10 catwalk show is the sophisticated older sister of his previous collections where bandage body-con dresses in summer bright yellows, corals and reds were a key look.

Look out for plenty of high-street interpretations in the new year from Lipsy, Rare and New Look.

Alexander Wang S/S '10

The current buzz surrounding New York's hottest designer, Alexander Wang, is relentless and shows no sign of dying down, especially following his gorgeous S/S Ready-to-wear catwalk show at New York Fashion Week on Saturday. His collection is definitely one of my favourites so far!

Wang, who was this year named by the Council of Fashion Designers of America as it's Womenswear Designer winner, produced an athletic, all-American sportswear inspired collection with undercurrents of the military, utility and Japanese-inspired themes, described by the man himself as "classic American sportswear with an edge."

Models were decked out in body-con sweater dresses (two concepts that shouldn't work but did!), crop tops and corsets in a muted palette of khakis, greys, browns and white. The preppy theme of the collection was given a subversive sexiness with cut outs, leather, lace and sheer. Wang's attention to detail was apparent as obi belts and baseball shorts with exposed zips were focal points.

A/W's strong shoulder trend is set to continue into the new season as Wang displayed lace and sheer ruched and puffed sleeved dresses and ended his show with cute mini dresses adorned with tinsel.

And finally, knee-high socks are set to be huge this winter; every single model who walked the catwalk for Alexander Wang wore them...Grab yours now!

Christopher Kane for Topshop

Topshop's latest collaboration with a high-end designer comes in the form of Christopher Kane's third colection for the High-street giant. Released on September 18th, just in time for London Fashion Week and Kane's Ready-to-wear mainline catwalk show, the hotly anticipated 39-piece collection, Topshop's biggest venture and largest collaboration with a designer thus far, is set to sell out in hours.

One of the hottest names in fashion, 27 year old, forever-cool Kane is a relative newcomer to the scene, celebrating the third anniversary of his first independent show this month. Yet what he may lack in age or experience he certainly makes up for in talent and edginess. The buzz created by Kane and his of-the-moment vibe is felt as an undercurrent throughout the fashion industry, with the ultimate acolade coming in the form of Donatella Versace's praise of the young designer. Indeed, so impressed was Versace by Kane's M.A Central Saint Martin's show that she arranged a meeting and offered him a role within her empire.

Kane is renowned for his simple, statement pieces embellished with leather, lace, zips, animal skin and studs and his forthcoming Topshop collection is no exception to his trademark look: Lime-yellow and fuschia (colours "essential, really") powermesh dresses and lace and satin dresses adorned with studs; a statement, vintage-looking crocodile print dress (little sister of the gorilla print dress from Kane's S/S collection made famous by Rihanna. His love of animal prints is said to eminate from his fear of sharks, snakes and crocs!); black mesh eyelet leggings and FIERCE powermesh heels. Subversive adornments include studs, gems, cut-outs, lace and mirrors.

Favourites of mine include the tassled studded box bag and a one shouldered lace dress. Having been disappointed by Kate Moss's recent mediocre collections for Topshop I am excited at the prospect of a fresher and sexier line to drool over!

Now, it's pretty much a given that Lady Gaga will turn up at an A-list event, surrounded by ballgown and maxi-dress clad beauties, in the wackiest and weirdest, ahem, 'wearable art' (Kermit the frog, anyone!?) and last night's VMA's were no exception.

Making her way through six, yes, SIX looks, the eccentric singer displayed possibly the strangest ensembles to date. I can't decide which is most likely to scare small children: a red, face-concealing stick crown? the cut-out, midriff-baring dead bride outfit complete with fake blood and hooker boots? The Edward-Scissorhands-meets-Morticia look? Or perhaps the adornment which can only be described as a shaggy face halo?

Is anyone else scared?

'The September Issue' premiered this week and I am sooo excited to see it. Living in the middle of nowhere in Wales will NOT hinder me and I will certainly be trekking to Birmingham so that I definitely get to see it!!

In September 2007, American Vogue, under the prominent Anna Wintour, released the single biggest issue of any magazine ever, weighing in at five pounds.

‘The September Issue’, a documentary directed by R.J.Cutler, offers a rare insight into the making of fashion’s most prestigious and highly anticipated glossy. Structured around an eight month period of preparation for the fashion empire’s biggest issue yet, Cutler was given no holds barred access to life behind the scenes at fashion week, on shoots and behind closed doors in staff meetings at the Times Square Vogue office. Through Wintour and her second in command Grace Coddington, we bear witness to their tentative creative chemistry, high fashion status, an the ‘ice-queen’ reputation upheld by the two fashion forces.

The documentary also offers a commentary on such contentious issues as celebrity culture and airbrushing as well as offering a rare portrait of the Vogue editor in her role as one of the most influential women in fashion. Her austere look and the mystery surrounding her cold and relentless character has been a fascination for years and is even said to have inspired Meryl Streep’s 2006 role in ‘The Devil Wear Prada’.

Needless to say, it created a buzz at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The documentary, which premiered at the festival on Friday, oversold on all of its public screenings and was apparently jam-packed on all of its press screenings.

An exciting and unique venture, the documentary will show both the gloss and the rot of an industry which has so long fascinated us mere mortals. The film is sure to be one of 2009’s most memorable film offerings. A must for any fashionista!

Trend Watch: Eighties Eclectic Eccentricity

Nostalgia swept through this season’s catwalks as designers from D & G to Balmain to Louis Vuitton transported us back to an era of fun, clashing colour and wild excess. The 80’s was revived with a bang for A/W ‘09 as the era that brought us Dynasty and disco fever was reworked and remodelled for a contemporary youth.

For many, the 80’s was a time that fashion forgot, full of garish, clashing clothing, bad make up and even worse hair styles. Yet, for others, this decade brought with it a sense of freedom, frivolity and ‘fuck it’ attitude which summed up, for them, what fashion was all about. What better way to express creativity than multicoloured, crimped hair doused in glitter, vivid make up and neon spandex?! For an equally on-trend tailored look, the slouchy and oversized blazer provides a wearable and sexy update to any day or night ensemble to bring you bang up to date with the retro feel. Channel colour and texture and think ‘power dressing’ to perfectly capture that 80’s Dynasty vibe.

For an effortlessly stylish evening look with just the right amount of ‘disco’, consider body con dresses in vivid shades and prints, sequinned and glitter dresses and statement accessories. Mix patterns and clash colours to channel the Marc Jacobs retro look, and accessorize with big make-up and even bigger hair.
